I.    Introduction

The Earth From Another Sun franchise is an epic blockchain-powered science fiction story that follows the adventures of a spaceship crew. It consists of a space-based sandbox that features a continually expanding multiplayer galaxy with a vast variety of one-of-a-kind locations to investigate, non-player characters to have conversations with, and quests and loot to discover.

Earth From Another Sun (EFAS), a company that is currently working on developing a sandbox space conquest game, has recently been successful in gathering 4.5 million dollars in funding for the project. It is one of the numerous blockchain games that are now being developed in the gaming industry, but its development has been going on for some time and it already has players that pay for access to the game. These investments are being handled by Solana Ventures, Alameda Research, and Lightspeed respectively.

The Team Behind Earth From Another Sun

Earth from Another Sun is being developed by Multiverse, a group of video game industry veterans who have worked for a wide variety of game companies in the past, including Riot, Gameloft, Disney Interactive, IGG, Perfect World, and Wevr. Multiverse is the name of the company that developed Earth from Another Sun. In this industry, the average member of the team has 9.5 years of previous experience in the relevant subject. They have set themselves the goal of developing the most popular blockchain-based video game series in the entire globe.

II.    Value Proposition

  • Discover a full galaxy by yourself or with other players in cooperative mode: Confront a wide selection of lairs and battlefields spread around the galaxy with a group of up to nine other players, whether they are friends or complete strangers. Roguelike dungeons that support up to four players, as well as stronghold and Xeno lair raids that support up to ten players, are among these.

  • A free-roaming world of epic proportions: You are going to run into a lot of different individuals, creatures, potential love interests, treasures, disasters, and other occurrences that will put your strength and determination to the test. Establish alliances with other groups, swear allegiance to another party, or form your own sovereign nation. Who knows, you might even end up getting married and having children whose genes have been affected in the process.

  • Combat Vehicles, Merch and Drones: Hoverbikes, tanks, rovers, mechs, fighter crafts, attack boats, and space fortresses are some of the types of vehicles that the team are currently developing.

  • New Combat Style: There are a lot of excellent FPS games out nowadays. Therefore, in order to keep things new and exciting, EFAS has ensured that you have access to hundreds of different gun mods, powers, gadgets, and passives. A great deal of variation and ability may also be found among the antagonists. To some extent, the battle system is an entire game unto itself. There is also a stand-alone Rogue-like mode, which may be played if you are pressed for time and just want some fast-paced action.

  • Player-focused: The team puts the players' needs first by constantly communicating with and listening to the community. Even with internal QA, it's possible that a new update will include a frustrating bug, but EFAS promises that any such issue will be fixed within 24 to 48 hours of its discovery.

III.    Gameplay

  • The "dynamic and ever-evolving galaxy" that the game's open gameplay promises will be completely at the players' disposal. Players can explore the galaxy in search of valuable resources, set up a commerce network, or simply conquer planets outright. This is just one of many claims made by the game. You can explore new worlds, including planets, space stations, and pirate strongholds, and complete quests for possible prizes. The game also features user-created content and updates every two weeks.

  • Gamers will be able to lead massive armies, potentially controlling a thousand different soldiers and mechs. There is also a first-person shooting element to the battles itself. There is "a almost unlimited selection of weapons, talents, and mods" for you to experiment with in this game, allowing you to personalize your arsenal to your liking.

  • Beyond just fighting, gamers may also trade with others and search for hidden wealth. Users can also access the game's single-player and multiplayer features. From two-player cooperative dungeon runs to a sixty-player Galactic Dominion Conquest game, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The latter approach represents the greatest challenge.

  • The PC Early Access release is scheduled for the second quarter of 2022. However, thirty minutes before that, a demo will be available for those who can't wait to get their hands on the game. The Steam Next Fest, happening between October 1st and 7th, will provide access to such content.

Following the Early Access period, Earth from Another Sun intends to land on consoles in 2023. It’ll head for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Check out the trailer here.

IV.    Non-Fungible Tokens

Using NFTs, users of Earth From Another Sun will be able to trade virtual goods with one another. An NFT can be created from any item of an Epic rarity or higher, allowing for unrestricted trading with other players.

All of your Epic-quality things can be freely traded, bartered, or sold to anyone. For EFAS, the Exo-Suit NFT drop will function similarly to how character skins do in terms of rarity and price. In the meanwhile, they have listed on Magic Eden to facilitate automated trading on their NFT marketplace's official opening date.

V.     Game Currency

A beta version of the game is now available on Steam, while an alpha version of the game is available on Web3. Neither version has its own token at this time. It rewards users with SOL for participating in competitions during the current Alpha stage, and the Web3 version is the only one that will have NFTs available for trading. A play and a model will be made accessible after the initial release is finished.
